f-32 cut cockpit railing so i dont have to climb over
i would like to cut a section of my railing and put a hinge on it so that i may flip it back and be able to enter and exit to the swim platform without having to crawl over the rail. i have seen pictures of what appears to be stainless hinge and parts that are shaped to the rail so that it is a very nice looking job in the end. has anyone done this or have a boat with a section on hinge or similiar?

Check with http://www.sailorman.com
They have a HUGE inventory of clean used parts for virtually any boat. I am sure they would have rail hinge assemblies...
