My vote is for Doug - "Summer Storm". The reason is for his efforts in putting together the Trojan book. I think it is a very nobel task. This is potentially the biggest and most important thing one can do to support an orphaned brand. Though sharing with others, and helping by answering questions is most of what this site is about, I can't see anything more important than the record/history of what this great brand was/is all about. Some day, after the last of the Trojans are long gone, the only thing left will be what a select few managed to put in print...that will be around long after our pride and joys are gone for future generations to ponder....priceless! You just can't put a value on that.

Can't wait 'till it's finished Doug. I'll be getting one, and displaying it proud. If anyone knows of an organization that archives this sort of thing for recreational boating/vessels, it would be a good place to donate one to for safe keeping.

I have to agree, the guy has been to hell and back, but has trudged on throughout it all. He did not let a little "cancer" get in his way of helping, caring and dedicating himself to the cause. Even when he was feeling down and out, I never read where he did not jump in and give words of encouragement to others.DOUBLE R wrote:Aaron.
If ever there was someone deserving of the title, it would be Aaron, total dedication to his Trojan, this forum and other boaters, regardless of his situation.
I agree also that Summerstorm deserves a nomination for his work on creating a book about Trojans, however, I would reserve that vote, until after the project is finished. For now, it is an admirable goal, and worthy of mention.

Three nominees from, my perspective:
Paul - Windsor Paul, with the highly customized and rebuilt F26 and related DIY Boat Owner article. Always willing to share his knowlege and experience, and has proven he has great ideas that don't detract from the original Trojan aesthetic.
Aaron - Aaron 'TriCabGuru' Bockneck. A man who knows his Tri's well, is more than willing to help out, and typically rises above the BS that hits the site from time to time.
Ready123 - Also always willing to help, has done a great job sharing his experience with deck core replacement. Besides, would be nice to keep the TBOTY crown in Canuckistan!

Lets see.......
Big D won last year so hes out. Nobody liked it much when I suggested Jeff with his F-25 overhaul so I guess hes out too. Tony has no Trojan, so no Tony I guess either. Prowlers Paul evidently has a conflict of interest so hes out too. This is getting hard..........
Ok...... I think I got it.......
I nominate Summer Storm Doug (for the book effort), and Getaway Scott (for the inline 6 refit and the burgee effort)
