What tools will I need????? Chrysler 318 1978

Well-needless to say before I bought this boat and a few years earlier-I gave away most of my tools to my son.
I just bought this 1978 F36 and one of the things the seller said was even though it ran beautiful for three days 8 hrs a day-it was due for a spark plug change and distributer and also plug wires. He said not to wait until something shows up but change before they do and he never has had a problem.
It has the air conditioner and the onboard generator. Here is what I found on some cards.
16 spark plugs-----champion X5-10y
Oil filter
Chrysler coil 2444242
Distributer 2875893.
Just some of the things.
Do these sound right?
I know I will need an oil filter wrench
I have a voltmeter
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks for any replies

OK-I know I will need the usual wire cutters and strippers and screw drivers but as far as sockets?
Just get a regular socket set or maybe I need deep well set and I have a good voltmeter but what about a timing light.
How often would I need one of those. Oil filter wrench.

I would get a good reg and deep well socket set and a wrench set . a 13/16 spark plug socket . Timing light can be good to have . Normally needed when changing points and doing a tune up .

Are you sure about the engine size ? The F36 normally came with 383/400 or 440 in that year .

I have not been back to the boat since it arrived but the ad said chrysler 318's but looking at his parts cards one says
motor model M440BW19-909
serial E400723-3.
He has a big notebook folder and I am almost positive he had like new manuals saying chrysler 318.
could be a repower?
I will have to go down tomorrow -I am getting anxious to get back to the boat and clean her up
thanks
think I should get a torque wrench?

Ok I checked the ad and it says smooth running chrysler 318's-so it might be a repower.

Just wondering that if it is 318's then it might be a bit under powered?

Thats not a spark plug number you have there. Not sure what it is.

I just bought 3 sets. Decided to give NGK's a go for awhile with the new distributors.

NGK BPR6ES. Is what I am running in my small blocks.

I know it is not a spark plug but I think an engine number from a 440 engine.
spark plugs he has champion X5-10y

X5-10Y is not a spark plug. Champion or any other kind. Again, I have no clue what that number is in reference to. A 10 yr old BMW SUV? Perhaps. Not a Spark Plug though.

Champions for that will be RN9YC or similar.

Perhaps XJ-10y But this is useless unless we know the engine size . And I am betting its not a 318

I am thinking you are probably right. 440's maybe? That would make a whole lot more sense. :)
