FUEL GAUGE ISSUE

Post by gdcardoza »

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me out with diagnosing the fuel gauge on my 10 Meter.

Currently, it bounces around and when the tank is completely full it doesn't show FULL and when it decreases it seems to want to sit at the 1/4 full mark and stay there.

Any ideas?

On my 11 Meter the issue was that the float was not floating so much anymore. The fuel tank on my boat is located in the center of the boat, under the cockpit floor. I cut a hole in the deck and installed a new float sending unit / sight gauge combination (and a deck access plate). It was a pretty generic sending unit from West marine if I remember correctly.
