F26 Trojan Powerplant

Post by diesel »

I am new to forum.
Just got F26 with 318 Chrysler and velvet-drive transmission.
Are parts for this engine and drive widely available?
Are they expensive ?
I am Volvo Penta user for years, they were killing me.
Thank you.

most parts available, most any marine part is $$$$. Flywheel for 318 is not available new anywhere according to Bob at Beacon, only used.

But a flywheel won't go bad very often , and you can get a ring gear . I don't thing you will have a major parts issue . And nothing costs as much as Volvo marine

I think the hardest thing to find for any marine Mopar is a counter rotating cam. Not impossible though.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.
