No pictures of the engines (Chrysler 350s ?) or transmissions. It may be a good deal but if you have to put two new engines in it won't be a great deal.

Any known problems? At that price something has to be wrong.

That's the same place we got our Silverton from. Can't recall that boat by the name though. It's maybe 30 minutes from me.

Sorry - too tired tonight to take up the fight, and starting to wonder why I bother anymore.prowlersfish wrote:I'm boarded so I hope he see's it .summer storm wrote:I hope captainmaniac doesn't see this post![]()
Apparently it is registered - if anyone has an account on BoatInfoWorld you might be able to get some more details on history http://www.boatinfoworld.com/registration.asp?vn=51404. Specs for length, beam, weight line up with those for an F32, and the year seems about right.
As a wild guess, this could be the registered owner http://www.healthgrades.com/physician/d ... witz-yw9y8. Farmington CT to Old Saybrook is about 40 miles. Based on his age, it might just be time to get out of it (or he just died and widow or family have no clue what its worth). If they are considering trading for a plow truck .. one possibility is that the Dr died, the family sold it off for 2K, and someone is just trying to flip it and double his money quickly -- or the marina it was kept at took it over and is just trying to get it off their hands.

Re: Cheap F32 in Conneticut
Capt M I came up with the same name using the C.G. info on the NOAA site . However I came up with a PA hailing port and a Owners address in NJ . it listed a unknown builder but all that means some early data is missing .
I don't believe that is the same boat as the hailing port is different and the the length is slightly off . I am also guessing the Dr you found is not the same person as I found as the owner of "Care Knot" I also am guessing this boat may not be documented . As I can only find one "Care Knot" listed on the site But with that said that would be a good name for a doctors boat
But I could be completely wrong

I sent a email , I will report back

Re: Cheap F32 in Conneticut
Might be our area, but F32s are usually in the $10-15,000 range. Really nice examples around $20,000 and then a project will be like the one shown.

Re: Cheap F32 in Conneticut
K4282, we are in around the same area. I agree, your probably figuring selling prices, I figured asking prices. It's a shame these boats are so cheap, unless your in the market! We got into our 34C for peanuts. It's not worth a whole lot, but with no intentions to sell, that's alright (for now).

Re: Cheap F32 in Conneticut
i moved up from a Silverton 26C and had my eye out for a 34C or F32, i ended up with a 1973 F32 for all said and done costed me about one hundred to acquire (i traded another free boat for it) and about $5,000 I have a pretty sharp F32, $1,000 or so was spent here with Bob on the alluminum side louvers, stupid parts can add up fast and their $225 a piece, $2,100 in a custom oversized swim platform, the old one was broken and too small and close to $1000 in underwater LED lighting, all cosmetics but I dont care, looks great now.I also had to do a motor swap but it came with a good used FWC motor
