Could be wrong but I don't know that they even make those anymore. Seems everyone is making the gage type. You can go the analog gage/dial type and mount it in a single gage pod on top of the helm.

I have an old style synchronizer mounts via a gimbal type arrangement. I never used. It is a hooded type that has some type of lens in the front. I think you just hook it to each tach pulse wire. If you interested give me a shout. I assume it works but not sure as I have never seen it working, have seen it described on this forum.

I was actually thinking of pulling my tachs and replacing one of them with a dual-tach/flow meter. I was trying to figure out what to put into the other hole.... Maybe a 3" synch or another combo unit.
I replaced my tachs with a Twin Scan flow meter. One gauge has both tachs in it and the other gauge has the 2 fuel flow indicators in it. Both tach holes are therefore filled. Looks good and the tach are in the same gauge so it is easy to see if they are close, besides the Twin Scan has a sync function also. And the price was very good, they were given to me for free.

Larry,
Thanks for the offer. On those i don't think you can tell which is running slow so it takes more fiddling with the throttles. The newer style shows approx how much slower one is running.
BigD,
Thanks for that link, the 2" pvc pipe option to make a gauge pod may be the way to go if I cant find a older unit.
They precisely measure and display how much fuel you are burning real time. Check out Floscan as one of the more popular companies. Once installed, RPM and trim tab adjustments can be immediately viewed on each engine.
