Fiquench Fire Suppression System

Post by TommyB »

I am the new owner of a very fine 1980 F-44. I have been enjoying it since buying in July. It is equipped with a Fiquench fire suppression system. It is tied into the ignition system and does not allow engine start if it is not activated. After several hours of trouble shooting we determined the circuit board in the remote control helm panel has gone out. It is my understanding Fike Metal Products, the manufacturer of this system went out of business years ago. Does anyone have an idea where one might find parts for these old units. Would love to avoid a complete new system install.

Is that a halon system. Both my boats have halon fireboy I think, but have not got them functional.Search Halon extinguishers there is a company out there that buys old systems and also reclaims and refills them. Halon is banned due to "global warming"

These people might be able to help: www.fireboy-xintex.com/
Or possibly REMTEC

Yes it is a Halon system. The bottle is good, it is the mother board in the control panel that has gone out. I need a new control panel circuit board.
