Hello Everyone!

Just joined this website and find the posts very interesting! I am a soon to be a proud owner of a 1977 Tri-Cabin Flybridge F-36 this coming spring. The downpayment is already paid and the shakedown cruise will take place late next month or early April...

Glad to find this website!
Thanks!

Thanks Dreamer! Nice to be aboard....lol Is your boat docked at Tower Marine in Douglas, Mich.? I heard good things about that marina with a swimming pool and all it has to offer. Drove up that way a few months ago and scoped out the area.... Nice little town of Saugatuck/Douglas looks like it would be jumping place in the boating season..

Safe Boating,

I agree with rjcress, this does seem to be a pretty hospitable forum. Must have to do with the crowd of old boat enthusiasts that get excited with the prospect of spending $6-$7/mile just to go a whopping 22-25 knots full throttle on a boat held together with duct tape, bailing wire, and that gold discount card from west marine............Or was that a AARP card?

Seems like I got booted off BoaterEd... guess Ihurt a couple's of boater pride..... I was going to quit debating with them anyway.... too many BS'ers on line who think they're pretty rich and know everything... not me "I know Nothing!" ....lol I think this is more my style anyway... much more in common with you guys...

Thanks for welcoming me... promise I behave myself on this forum BUT than again I do cause people to lose their heads sometimes!...LOL

Not too sure about the posting of pictures?? I will try but it may take me some time.. I did recieve my Trojan's marine survey and it looks pretty damn good in general few little things need updating and replacing but not much and not expensive! Good news for a change....lol

If your slipping @ Tower Marine you'll love it. I'm on my third year there. The pool is awsome. All you can drink Margaritas & Mudslides one Saturday a month, is a great way to meet people. 8)

Actually Dreamer I'm docking at "Saugatuck Yacht Services" where the Trojan has been kept since new... the dock space was offered to me with the "deal" so I took them up on it... also the inside storage was also "dealed in" and I took them up on that too... The boat was always stored inside their boatshed in the off season since new so I thought I would continue to do so... We will run into each other at some point I'm sure!!

Rebecca, my girlfriend, and I fell in love with Saugatuck/ Douglas when we went there in early January to inspect the Trojan. We can't wait for the weather to break and warmer weather arrives to take the boat out for a shakedown cruise... She is already buying towels; hand towels, washclothes and kitchen stuff for the this coming summer adventures.. We're planing a two week cruise to Door County and N. & S. Manitou Islands this summer after some cruising hours under our belts... Hurry Summer!!

I have been trying to find out how many gallon fuel tanks are aboard the Tri-Cabin.... The marine surveyor thought there was 300 but I never have seen that many gallons posted on any website before... I"m thinking about 220??????? I know that there are four fuel tanks aboard....

Can anyone give me an accurate idea of total capacity in fuel?

thanks,
jimini

Jimini , The F36 tri cabin came with a standard capacity of a 150 Gal. (two 75 gal tanks ) it also had a option of 80 gals more ( 2- 40 gal tanks )

So if you have 2 tanks you hold 150 gals. if you have 4 then you hold 230 gals.

before you ask it came with a 50 gal. water tank
