Battery wiring for an 81 F36

Post by CSlaughter »

So I am making this post in hopes that one of you might have an idea where I can locate something.
I am trying to repair some of the battery wiring on my F36. The challenge is I do not have all the wiring diagrams.

Now before you hit the reply button, take a look at the links below. I already have most of the wiring diagrams fro the F36. The ones I am missing are for how the DC charging / maintenance unit are connected to the batteries and how the starboard battery is connected to the DC panel VS the port battery. I think the confusion is around the relay box mounted to the front of the battery platform that manages the emergency battery bridging for the engines.

Below are links to each of the documents I have.

f36 wiring diagrams -2 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2mHk ... ktPcHJfNkE

Here is a picture of the relay box that I need a diagram for.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have two Trojans a f36 tricabin and an f28 the 28 has the exact box you show. I have a picture but not on this puter, at the dock, that someone provided that is in color and labeled. The wiring is pretty straight forward with the relay controlled via a diode that pulls both batts in when starting or emergency switch toggled. ( I do not see why the switch but it is there)

The Tri cabin has relay outside the battery box and have not dived into how it functions.

When home I will try and send you the color picture and diagram of the box. It may be and probably is on this website.

Your box has three brakers I know one is for 12 volts to the Frig not sure where the others go.

See this post for info re the crossover box:

This is how my '79 F32 is set up, so I expect yours will likely match.

The three breakers are for head, trim tabs, and fridge. Head and fridge feed off the port, tabs feed off the starboard. When you hit the dash switch it trips the solenoid, paralleling port and starboard batteries.
