Water seperators on 10 meter midcabin

Water seperators on 10 meter midcabin
My 10 meter midcabin does not have water seperators for the starboard and port Crusader 454 engines. Is this a typical design for a 1989 midcabin?

I was thinking Crusaders had on engine filter/water separators But if this not the case your can always add a remote ( off engine ) one your self .

Yes.
And Prowlersfish, they do. They are right next to a lot of hot parts of the engine, which makes them a PITA to work on if, say, you need to change the filter in a seaway after fueling...... Just follow the fuel line. It will take you to a small coffee cup-sized metal cylinder on the starboard side of each engine.
I added the Sierra version of the Racors mentioned above -- separate manifold, filter, and bottom -- but Sierra brand. My OEM primary filters were on stubs mounted to the stringers in front of each engine. I ditched those, and added the separating-type filters on the forward engine room bulkhead, and completely re-did the fuel manifold to boot. Of course I've never had to touch them since, but if I did, they would be easy to service. The drain plug on the bottom allows you to, well, drain the filters and see if they contain water, without removing the filter.
P.S. If anybody knows of a gasoline-rated vacuum gauge, I'd sure like to now about it too. Would be nice to be able to tell when your filters need changing in something approaching a scientific manner.

My setup has been flawless in seven years of ethanol use (excluding the first six months of initial "clean-up"). Tank ------> 30 micron EZ Flo pre filter screen, 10 micron Racor and finally carb filter. I hardly give fuel a thought anymore. The screen keeps the Racor clean and is big enough that it never clogs.

I have a 10 meter, the Crusaders do have a paper filter on the back of the engine. They are a PITA to change. I also have Racor water separators in the aft lazarette for the engines and the generator.
