Lock for sliding door on 10m Mid-cabin
Hi all, The lock to the sliding door on my 10m mid-cabin doesn't lock and hasn't since I got her. The mechanism doesn't really seem to work well (I have the key) and there is no strikeplate opposite the latch (on the port side of the entry to the cabin). Does anyone know where to get a replacement l...

Leaking rub rail
Hi folks, We have a rub rail that leaks pretty badly in a few spots - starboard bow into the forward cabin and port midships onto the ledge by the settee being the worst. I pulled the shelves and headliner out of the forward cabin to have a look as I thought it might be leaky stanchions, but it's de...

10 meter cockpit fridge
Hi folks, We're looking to replace our cockpit fridge on our 10 meter and were wondering what others are doing/using. Right now we have a tiny, broken, dorm fridge that doesn't fill the space and was put there by the previous owner. It seems like we have only two choices: 1) Nova Kool r3800/4500 - d...

10 meter mid-cabin winterizing
Hi folks, I'm doing my first winterizing (we're in Vancouver so it doesn't really get that cold) and want to close my thru-hulls. I believe there are 4 sea strainers - 1 for each main engine, 1 for generator, 1 for Heater/AC unit. Also, there is the pump-out thru-hull. I tried to close off the sea-s...

Switch for macerator pump out
Hi folks,
I just did a whole lot of work on the head and associated sewer lines. I also put in a new macerator for the pump out and used the wires that were already in place to wire it up. However, I don't know how to turn it on - anyone know?
The boat is a 10m mid-cabin.
Thanks,
Teejae

Well - all done. I did it while in the water, which was a but nervous making at first, but then I wrapped teflon tape around the shaft a few times and completely stopped the flow of water. It definitely beat wrapping a cloth around. Thanks for all the advice. Dripless are probably in my future at so...

Stuffing Box - size of packing for 10m 1.25 in shaft
Hi folks,
I need to repack my stuffing boxes and was wondering if anyone knew what size packing I need. The shaft is 1.25 in. I saw another post that I believe said 5/8 in. This is for a 10m mid-cabin.
Thanks,
Teejae

Forward berth mattress
Hi there, We now have our new 10 meter mid-cabin back at our dock and in our slip. Yay! I piloted her 130 nm yesterday from Everett to West Vancouver. Today, we threw out the previous owner's horrific rotting foam mattress. It clearly was not the right fit. So, we need to get a new mattress. The who...

Thanks for the info RWS. There's an outboard mount on the transom, but I'm hoping to use the Weaver davits if we don't have planing issues, and just have the outboard rotate. I don't think The mid cabin has a lazarette. We have a hatch aft in the cockpit but the Onan genset is in there. There is spa...

Dinghy size for 10 meter?
Hi folks, I'm new here as I'm in the final stages of buying a 10 meter mid-cabin. This will be my first boat and I'm very enthused. Great forum you all have here with lots of information. It really helped my peace of mind knowing to check for stringer issues with the survey (has no issues - yay!) On...
