Ok finally got around to installing new carpet in my F-32. I finished the hatches for the salon and will lay the rest of the carpet in the next couple of days. The pictures are of the four salon hatch covers. I use 43 ounce carpet and wrapped all four edges of the hatches and will also wrap the hatch openings. I contact cemented the edges and it worked out great. Permanent but yet can be pulled loose with some effort if I need to change the carpet down the road. The joints between the hatches should literally disappear. I allowed 1/4" for every joint so it should be a tight fit but that's what I want. I will add 1/2" to the large hatch ledgers just to make sure there is enough ledge to catch the two center hatch pieces. I'll update the finished pictures when I get it done hopefully before the fireworks go off on the 4th of July.

As promised here are pictures of the new carpet in the salon. I also carpeted the galley and V-berth but that's simple installation and I forgot to take pictures. Brought the steps home to redo them so I'll update the galley and V0berth pictures next weekend. I also thru in a picture of the fly bridge after a good cleaning. Finally borrowed a trailer and hauled the bimini top up to the boat too. Wow I like having shade up there lol. My apologies I can't get the (1) picture to be right side up...

A few updates to share. I installed new kitchen and bathroom faucets. The kitchen was a bit of a challenge as I hade to take out the kitchen sink bowl so I could access the plumbing for the faucet. Bathroom was a simple swap. I changed the two water separator filters and the two inline fuel filters. I also rebuilt one of my Sherwood water pumps. It was leaking again so I thought it was time. I'm glad I did because the shaft was actually wore at the bearing location. Bearings seemed ok but I put everything new in to be safe.

Gally looks great. I'm hoping to be back in the water by next week. Having her cleaned and waxed while on the hard. Then once it's in long island at the new house I'll do the inject a deck on the fly bridge and bow.

Curious on the inject a deck stuff. I have a 12" round area on the flybridge that needs stiffened up. It just ticks me off that I have to buy a whole kite for such a small area. Let me know how it works out for you...Seen the new engines you lucky dog.. lol. I'm still tweaking my old 360 Chryslers but they run good and strong.

Finished up a few more items on my F-32. I redid the carpeting and the hatch carpet in the v=berth. Now I can access the bilge without pulling up the whole piece of carpet. I also Installed the new to me mast light. I was able to get the original mast light from a fellow Trojan owner who was installing a radar arch and wanted his mast light on top of the arch. I'm trying to keep my boat as original as possible during the refit. I forgot to take pictures of the new mast light and will try to add them next week. I also added a anchor rope locker under the cockpit floor so I don't have to have the anchor out on the bow as I do not have a bow pulpit yet. We don't anchor out much so walking the anchor forward once in a while isn't a big deal.I finally feel like the boat is getting close to a complete refit. I still want to repaint the decks and fly bridge, refinish the (3) hatch openings and install a new gasket, paint the engine bay and forward bilges and finish sorting out the engine bay wiring with a new battery box.

Here is a picture of my new mast light. One more step closer to everything working again. For some reason my upper helm Anchor and Nav switch works as it should. The lower helm Nav switch works as it should. But my lower helm Anchor light switch does nothing. I'm going to have to pull the whole switch panel to se if there is anything wrong with the switch. Open to suggestions on this one.

Forgot to show everyone the new light fixture over the galley stove. Mine was missing so I found this one on Amazon. Worked out pretty good I think.

Looking good . I seem to remember a issue with my lower nav or anchor light switches . Cant remember if I fixed it or not as I never use them or the lower helm ,

Switches go bad over time with corrosion etc... even in fresh water environments. My blower switch (both helms) was flaky last year. Turn it on and the blower would work, but would intermittently cut out. Tapping on the switch would bring it back on.... Replaced both switches this spring and everything operating as designed now.

Probably just a switch issue, but of course check wiring connections as well.
