long shot... anyone know of a mid cabin parts boat?

Post by BobCT »

My bow railing is bent on the starboard side along with two of the stanchion supports. I could probably replace those but not sure what my options are for the railing itself.

If I could get another one reasonable priced I would do that since I need to re-bed everything anyway.

Better yet, why not call Bob for your Trojan parts...I'm sure he can find what you need at a reasonable price. And, you'd be supporting a good cause.

yes, I'm happy to contact Bob, have bought stuff from Beacon before.

BUT, the reason I asked about a parts boat (in addition to some odds/ends) is that the horizontal bow railing is bent inward. Previous owner hit something.

So, I either need to replace it with another one or try and get it repaired/ straightened. It look like one piece and has the curve going up to the bow.

Maybe not, I haven't actually taken one of these apart before.

The railing should have small screws underneath where the sections are joined over an inner sleeve. The joint seams often are not clearly visible from the top.

sounds like something that will have to be made, start at your marina and see if there's anyone that does custom S/S work. most likely they'll have to use the other side to match it up.
