Paul, exactly what does negative impact mean????
Negative impact means that with the increase to the amount of enforcement on both sides of the border, the freedom that boaters around here once felt is gone. Increased frequency in safety inspections, helicopters panning cameras over anchorages, tighter requirements for border crossing, etc has many boaters feeling violated. The result is restaurants and marinas on both sides of the border are feeling the pinch because many boaters are choosing to remain docked or are getting out of boating completely.

K9th is right, Bin Laden has definitely screwed things up for us. As for my wife and I, we are die hard boaters so we just roll with the new rules and the way things have become. Between the new security measures and the downturn in the economy, its allot easier to book a last minute slip at boating destinations.

Thank you... we are looking forward to using her beginning next April... going to explore the inland river system for about a year and then head over to the east coast. We missed one in Grasonville in Sept. otherwise we could be starting in your neck of the woods
