Great to here you'll be on the bay side, when she gets down here. Paul and I made a trip up that way last yr from Kinsale Va. and back I used 240 gallons of gas with an avg speed overall of 12 knots. At 8 knots I get about 1 for 1 if not a little better with 454' s how about you guys with 350's give him a fuel burn at 7 to 8 knots so he'll have a good guess on $ for trip.

One one engine I would think he woulld be in the 1 mpg range or maybe better ( fairly clean running gear ) so if planed on 200 gal you will be safe I would think ( should be less )
Is the one engine / drive in good running condtion ?
I would buy a sea tow or boat tow member ship inadvance of the trip so you don't do a repete of your last trip from DC
Tony 240 gals ? ouch

I may have the v-drive you need. If you tell me the specs on the one you have, I can compare.
I will give you a GREAT deal on it if its the correct one. I have no need for it anymore.
Welcome from another recently acquired tri-cabin owner. I notice you said your daughter is the proud new owner but that you will be doing all the work? Good to know the world order hasn't changed much! I named my tr-cabin "basket Case" because it was also neglected and needs a ton of work. This forum is the place to be!. Regards Steve (Risctaker)

If it is the same as mine they are Walter Vee drives and they still make em. Your engine ser # will be on the door covering the fuse panels at the helm check them against the tag on the heads and that will tell you something
