Yea i dont want to mess with a generator so i think for what i want it looking like an invertor with extra batteries. Want kids to have tv dvd fridge and maybe an a/c if possible. I doubt the ac tho. I just want to have power mOre than what the altenator can offer at sea

Jeff, you don't want to go a/c powered by an inverter. If you want to run a/c on the hook (at anchor) without a generator, there are 12 volt systems available now. You'll still have to do a power consumption calculation to determine the size of the battery bank you'll need to run it.

A ac is a bit much for battery power ( inverter ) but most else is within reason .

on the TV go to Targets web site and look for 12v ones Skyworth they're great and DVD player in it as well as all kinds of different jacks in it.

A/C there's 12v package systems on the market, one would hit the heat two might kill it, I'll look for the hand out for and get it to you.

Some of the guys here have the battery thing worked out real good. They'll help you out. You'll need some 110v but I'd use as much 12v as I could. And led lights in side.

Yea it's a lot to research, I'm gutting right now, there are 110 outlets everywhere in here but all I can find is a battery box called pro charge. I assume the 110 outlets are for shore power since I just threw the getto house window a/c unit off the back of the boat and almost pulled my back, must a weighed 100 lbs

I went down to the marina a few times this week. I was able to install my new a/c-d/c panel. Hooked up 9 a/c and 5 d/c besides mains. I also installed the gagues and new controls in the lower station. If I do say so, it looks pretty nice. Last week I was able to install new sea strainers.

I live in the wrong part of new york I guess. were below zero daily here
