Welcome onboard, I think you will find that the real problem is electrolysis not corrosion. Where do you keep the boat? there are a lot of hot marinas in Miami and this is a very common problem down here. Last haul out I had to replace a shaft because of pitting due to electrolysis and a zinc that I must have thrown off. For 60 bucks Dr zinc diving (in Miami) will come to the boat and scrub the bottom and change the zincs, if needed, and let you know of any pending problems.

And you can get electrolysis from someone else or the dock power system itself... if there is an electrical problem near enough to you, the stray current in the water can find its way to you even if you have no problems of your own.
Actually, maybe that's what summer storm meant by 'hot marinas'... ??
I guess my problem is having a broken shaft after sitting in "Hot Marinas" in Miami.... Geezz... Trojan Boat Forums really tell you what is wrong with you, not so much your boat...

Really? I don't see anywhere in my post claiming that there is something wrong with you, nor did I tell you what was wrong with your boat. Read it again, I said "I think you will find" not, "your problem is"
The bottom line here is I was trying help you out and maybe save you some money in the future.
Remember, advice here is worth exactly what you paid for it, well, maybe Paul's is worth more but that's another story.

Oh no definitively! haha I was just joking around! even though my boat breaks I have to keep a good sense of humor or else I will go crazy every time something breaks on my boat lol But seriously, I cannot thank enough all of you guys for the tips! I can't wait for Sunday to get my baby fixed!
By posting a photo we we can give you a better idea(s) of the cause . And help keep it from happening again . If the new prop/shaft is not done right it could happen again . Installing the prop is easy and just as easy to screw up .
