Sorry to hear the news, but it is obvious that you are already on the right track to beat this. A positive attitude and willingness to fight gets you half way there. A strong support group never hurts, and early diagnosis is also a huge factor in your favour. I have known a few people with prostate cancer, emphysema, diabetes, heart disease, major circulatory issues, and combinations of the above. Attitude and support make all the difference. You will beat this.
As for Phil - without sounding too preachy - please cut him some slack.... being strong and centered on the outside, while falling apart inside, is not an easy task. Been there, done that. Just let him know you know. Sorry.... my turn for a tissue...

Hang in there. I am new to the forum. My wife was told she had lung cancer stage 3 last summer, just after we bought the tri cabin. It is tough but you will get thru it. They have really advanced the way they can treat it for sure. She went thru all the radiation and cemo and was told she is doing well. It won't go away but we just have to keep our heads up, thank God she has a wonderful cancer team here in Greenville , SC. My Dad was told he has leukimia in Jan, and we are now battling his cancer now along with my wifes. We will make it, just takes alot of time and having great friends and doctors help alot. We finally was able to take the boat out 2 weeks ago, broke the vdrive and transmission. I don't really care about it, just happy she is still with me and was able to go for a short ride with me. Will keep you in our prayers for sure.
