Sorry had to dredge this up...almost ready for water. Plan on launch in April.
The rudder there seems to be something missing. What is the silver ring for?
There are 2 holes on each stringer which suggests something should be there.
The hose and the board to the right are have been removed.

We tie up to fill our batteries and check our fuel.
There should be board across the stringer with a hole in it with bushing . the rudder goes thru the bushing/hole . then the retaining collar ( silver thing ) to hold the rudder in . and last the tiller arm . you can use oak or mahogany for the board or even aluminum or S.S.

Heres a set up from a older post ( thanks Chuck), note stuffing box is not there and the bushing looks upsite down compaired to some. But this should give you a better idea .Hope this helps

Thanks for reply and pic. Its a great help. I have not come across the rudder post bushing.
I'll search the spare parts again. Any ideas if I cannot fine it?
