Rudder Challenge

Post by Sanctuary 2 »

Sorry had to dredge this up...almost ready for water. Plan on launch in April.
The rudder there seems to be something missing. What is the silver ring for?
There are 2 holes on each stringer which suggests something should be there.
The hose and the board to the right are have been removed.
Thanks in advance...

There should be board across the stringer with a hole in it with bushing . the rudder goes thru the bushing/hole . then the retaining collar ( silver thing ) to hold the rudder in . and last the tiller arm . you can use oak or mahogany for the board or even aluminum or S.S.
