I will go back later but I did go this morning and took pics but left the camera there. Nice
anyway I opened the cover and the engine chrysler 330 on the covers.
someone emailed me and said it was a 440-----330 HP engine.
I called the previous owner and he says he only bought parts for a 318.
He has service manuals for a 318
A 300 operating manual
also a manual that says chrysler 300 model 440 service manual
also service manual supplements for the 260,280,330,383,383,400,440
He had the boat for ten years so he should know I guess but I will post the pics anyway.

Ok here are the photos.
Am I on drugs but they have told me when they sold the boat that it was 318's and listed it that way also then I called the other day and they said they have used 318 parts in her for years but look at the motor tag.

You have 440 Chrysler's ( 440 CID 330 hp ) The distributor is on the front on big block Chrysler's . on the 318 ( small block) it would be on the back of the engine .

OK thanks-I thought I was nuts-why the hell would he and his mechanic keep telling me it was a 318.
I just saw the motor tag today.
these 440 engines are gas suckers but I don't care right now.
Just happy to have the boat here.

I paid 13K for the boat so if it lasts three years-I will be happy but in the meantime I will look for something simalar but with diesels or one big diesel

That boat with diesels will get over a mile to the gallon at cruse .
