Powered by Twin Ford Sabre turbo diesel 300Hp (both engines recently fully rebuilt) and PRM newage gear box 601D 1.5:1 Arneson ASD-8 surface drives she does 28 knots @ 1200 rpm. Her motors can rev up to 2500rpm each, so an assumption can be made that the boat should achieve

I find that hard to believe , You will note they say a so an assumption can be made that the boat should achieve 40knots They don't know ?

Still interesting

28knots at 1200 RPM? Somebody needs a new Speedo... or a new GPS. Ad also says it's a single engine, while pics show obvious twin configuration.

12l / hr at 1000 RPM per engine - that's 5.3 (Canadian) gallons per hour across both engines. If you are pushing 28 knots at 1200 RPM.... what are the odds you are really getting more than 4-5 miles to the gallon on this thing? Not a chance. Arneson drives are designed for SPEED, not fuel efficiency.

If anyone has $84K to spend, don't waste it on this fairy tale.... call me instead!

This same boat was on the forum a while ago. I remember seeing the same picture and the surface drives. Will try to find the post when I have a moment.
