454's with hurth trans

Have any of you guys with that setup had trouble with leaks around the cooler line fittings on the tranny itself....thanks Mike

I have not seen any issues , not too many here using Hurth gears . What model Hurth ?

Had that a few times. Mostly a simple matter of tightening a bit. On two occasions they were cracked fittings likely from over tightening. One was caught too late and took out the pump, another took out the tranny.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

Thanks guys.......something that I noticed on a few boats we looked at and I wondered if it was a common issue with these trans.....Mike

Heh BigD were they just the black painted ones ??
