...when a fisherman caught the 1st asian carp found beyond the electronic barrier. Millions spent, on the battle, but alas, the carp are winning the war! Hey, I wonder if we can entice the carp to go down to the Gulf & eat up the oil blobs from the spill? That will keep them occupied!!! Article ...

Sounds like you are trying to remove them from the outside. Have you considered removing them from the inside? I've got a '75 tri-cabin & had to replace the starbord side vee berth compartment window last spring before launch. Took off the starboard wall panel, then the window was easily accesse...

No Bob, I am not a veteran. I do serve in a state guard, which does not qualify me for VA benefits. Our retiree association just had a hearing in Mich. yesterday. Won the argument to have the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corp. provide documentation to the court to judge whether or not the action they t...

Larry (Largo) I have 1 pennant left. $37, includes shipping. Let me know your address via PM if you want it. I'll PM my address to you. Prestige Flags out of San Diego, Ca made them down in Mexico. They are a proprietary design of Jimini's, so they just won't make more on anyone else's say so. The o...

I believe Jimini has dropped off the radar screen. I too have not been able to contact him. I think he found other interests in his life & moved on. He lived in Illinois & found a girlfriend in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was thinking of moving there last I knew. Actually, although he was interested i...

He was my dockmate

The man in the article you'll find in this link was my dockmate, 2 slips down from us. http://sanduskyregister.com/articles/2009/11/15/front/doc4afda3e4cc5b6682997094.txt Since we both were live aboards, we saw each other quite frequently. We'd watch out for each other on stormy nights and help each...

On my '75 tri-cabin, when I changed my port water pump last fall, I just traced the feed hose back to the seacock. The seacock is outboard of the engine's back side (remember the engines are turned backwards), or about 2 1/2 ft. in a forward direction from the pump & a little more outboard.

I'm not seeing either black or white smoke. There is a lot of black soot on the inside of the flame arrester. That could be an indication of a leaking head gasket.

I;m hoping it's the head gasket. Just put in new head assemblies last year. Really don't want to pull the whole engine out-what a pain!

I'm interested in knowing if your exhaust system has spacer blocks just above the manifolds. Mine do. I believe we have the same engines, Merc 255's, GM blocks. I have all the parts/pieces to replace the manifolds on both banks of my starboard engine except for these blocks. http://i244.photobucket....
