Thanks for all the comments.

The video was filmed on the weekend - outside temp 80F water temp 78F.

The steam is similar in volume from both sides, so I guess all is good.

I suspect I have the single sensor/senders and not dual -I'll look into this further on the weekend.

Too much Exhaust steam?

Hi everyone. I wondered if the amount of vapor my F-28 is blowing is cause for concern? At normal cruise (1800-2200RPM) the vapor is not really visible, when we get up on plane and push it a little bit (3500RPM) the boat really pushes out a lot of vapor. Engine details: Rebuilt in 1996, good compres...

F-28 Plexiglass Windscreen replacement

Does anyone know where I could get my hands on a replacement plexiglass windscreen for the fly-bridge of my '79 F-28?

I storm took down a tree (while are the hard) and smashed a few pieces.

Any repair ideas or replacement recommendations welcome.

Thanks!

I think the original setup was on two, one per engine. The wet exhaust hoses come from the manifold and connect in a Y before heading to the Muffler and out the through hull. At least this is what I have on my '79 F28 w original 318's.

In addition to paint below decks I have used "Concrobium Mold Control" from Home Depot. This stuff seals and prevents any mould and mildew. Perfect for the marine plywood used on the hatches to the bilge.

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up using Sure Grip from Aurora. It went on easy and seems to have done just what I needed.

Next up is cleaning and painting the Bilge which I see an active post on already...

How to treat non-skid?

Hi,

Waxing smooth surfaces has done a good job at keeping the boat clean.

Any tips for what I can use on the top side non-skid areas to try and keep her cleaner? It seems to be very porous in its old age and stains very easily.

Thanks!

Splashed today !!

The Rumset was launched this morning after some engine work and replaced packing. In the pics you can see the new anti-fouling, waxed to the gunwale and new 36 X12 " Trim Tabs! I am hoping to get more lift at the transom with the larger tabs. We'll see how they perform. Here are some pics: http...

I bought some mid-season and applied in a few spots on the bridge (which is in the sun all day) to see if it yellowed and to test it's durability. I will check it in a few weekend when I take the shrink off, but I plan to use it this season. I will let the group know how it goes.

Bow Pulpit Plans/Dimensions for F-28

Anyone with an F-28 have a teak bow pulpit? I am looking to buy one or find some rough dimensions to have one made. Does anyone know of boat yard around the Toronto, ON area where I might find one on an old retired boat? Any pointers or advise? Looking for the end result to be something like this: h...

Well, I didn't risk it with Zyrex, just went with good old vc17 this weekend.

If anyone actually uses this stuff let us know the results.
